In response to a question about to whom these illegal devices were sold, RAB-3 Commander (CO) Colonel Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed said that more than two hundred jammers and network boosters have been sold in two years. We did not receive a detailed list. However, we know the names of several important people and organizations. The operation will be conducted soon after the information is confirmed. The detainees were reportedly illegally selling IP cameras, digital cameras and electronic devices, including jammers and network boosters, to various individuals through e-commerce websites and Facebook pages without a license. Among those, Noman's e-commerce website and Facebook page called itstall.com.bd. Sohail Rana has an e-commerce website and Facebook page called SoIM BD. There are also two check fraud cases against Sohail Rana in Chittagong and Khulna districts.  As per Bangladesh Telecommunications Regulation Act 2021 (Amendment 2010), the have violated rules by illegally stockpiling, supplying, buying, selling and displaying its components including mobile network jammer, jammer antenna, mobile network booster, outdoor antenna of booster, indoor antenna of booster and cable of booster. Legal action is undergoing against them. Incidentally, based on intelligence information, RAB-3 came to know that some members of the ring selling illegal jammers and network booster have been selling these products in Mohammadpur area of the capital without permission for a long time. In the wake of this, a team of RAB-3 and representatives of BTRC conducted a raid in Mohammadpur area on Saturday, May 14 at 1:15 pm and arrested the two sellers who were selling jammers and network boosters illegally. The RAB-3 CO said that jammers and network boosters are capable of influencing the performance of 2G, 3G and 4G mobile networks. Their buyers are residents of various multi-storey buildings and mosque authorities. Criminals also buy these illegal products at high prices for the purpose of committing crimes. Asked how these products, which are banned from sale and import, are coming into the country, he said they are importing these illegal parts under the guise of legal goods by paying higher transport prices through legal importers. After that it was being sold at high prices using online platforms as per the demand. He further informed that buying and selling these instruments and parts without the approval of BTRC is a punishable offense under the law. If a criminal organizes a crime using a network jammer, the victim will not get any mobile network to enlist the help of law enforcement. In this way, the criminals will be able to escape by organizing the crime without any hindrance. Also, if there is a jammer in any place, many customers in the vicinity do not get network connection. Illegal booster or repeater causes similar problems.
